GAD Trivia

For the past years, the Philippine Army have done several efforts in promoting gender equality and advocating gender mainstreaming. The activation of the Office of the Army Gender and Development (OAGAD) is one of the schemes made by the Philippine Army which became the foothold of this organization in becoming more GAD-complaint. Among our accomplishments are the intensified level of GAD awareness of PA personnel, both men and women, through capacity building, and the development and publication of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials containing GAD and the core messages. Admittedly, though efforts have paid off into triumphant accomplishments, there is still so much more to be done until the whole force of the Philippine Army becomes gender sensitized and the roots of gender biases have been eradicated.
